African Masks

African Masks – Quilt of authentic African Masks from various cultures and villages, this work had the privilege of spending some time hanging in the Virgil Carr Cultural Arts Center in Detroit, MI


Andre – This work was inspired by a portrait of my son, Andre, which was taken when he was in elementary school, the technique of creating this work is a result of taking a workshop with Aniko Feher

Butterfly Sparkle

Butterfly Sparkle – work created using convergence technique with butterflies appliqued on, the black and butterfly patterned fabric used have sparkle accents. This work was donated and sold in a silent auction

Converging on Music

Converging on Music – work created using convergence technique, comprised of music themed fabric with a music staff appliqued on top

Fractured Flowers

Fractured Flowers – this work was created using the fractured technique of taking multiple large prints, cutting them up, and reassembling the pieces into 1 image

Jean Girl – work created from pattern by Carolyn Bunkley fellow GLAAQN member who has created and copy written a number of patterns. This work was given to my granddaughter

Betty Boop – this is the first block that will be incorporated into a twin size quilt

Fabric Weave Placemats

Fabric Weave Placemats – these placemats were made using a fabric weaving technique by taking 2 pieces of fabric, stacking and cutting them into strips, and alternating weaving them back together
