So it’s been a little while since Bizzy Lady and I have posted. It’s because we each have gotten a bright shiny object and that has consumed a lot of our time over the last month.
We each purchased a Cricut Maker and Cricut Easy Press.
These 2 new toys has expanded the Craft Diva Business to new heights. We will post pictures soon of items we have made this Cricut.
We are also excited to say that we are working on our Online E commerce store. Currently we are in the process of taking pictures, designing the site and stocking our shelves with our products. 🙂
More to come next month. As I claimed it at the beginning of 2018, This Is Going to Be Our Year!!!!
Until next time…..
The Craft Divas
Diva Dane and Bizzy Lady
Bizzy Lady and I was able to getaway for a few days last week in Las Vegas. It was so much fun tombe back there and to enjoy some warm weather forma few days but we came back home to nonstop snow ever since.
Two of our friends including Bizzy Lady celebrated their birthdays on the trip.
So people that know me know that I love to cook and bake and I’m always trying out new recipes. So when I found out we were going, I know the Chef Gordan Ramsay was opening the offical Hell’s Kitchen restaurant in Vegas.
I immediately when to Ceasar’s Palce website to find out more about the restaurant. It was opening the week of January 25th and we were going to be there starting February 1st. I was able to make reservations and I was overjoyed.
So that Friday after we got to Las Vegas, it was time to visit the restaurant. This place was amazing. It reminded you as if you were on the tv show.
I had the pleasure of being selected to participate in the pattern testing process for Sew Business Pattern Company. The pattern that I tested is the Momo Mod Bag. It was a lot of fun making this bag. She is going to have another purse in this series and hopefully I will be able to test that pattern out as well.
It’s been awhile since we have posted but Bizzy Lady and I have been very busy with our day to day tasks and we with sewing. We finally got our sewing mojo back. 🙂
I participated in a Facebook sew-a-long for the first time where I had time to follow the schedule and complete everything on time. The sew-a-long was for the Emmaline Retreat Bag. I had the frames for this bag for a very longtime and I was very excited to finally make the bag.
If you get a chance, I suggest making one of these.
Merry Christmas To All,
As we are coming very close to Christmas, The Craft Divas would like to wish everyone a wonderful and joyous holiday. We hope Santa brings you all everything that you wanted and more.
The Craft Divas had a busy fun-filled summer. I did not do much sewing and I am missing my fabric and machines so it is time to get back to business.
I did recently do some machine embroidery for a group that I volunteer for. I am a Project Manager Ambassador for The I Am Experience (theiamexperience.org) whose mission is to promote positive affirmations in women of all ages and acknowledge the value women bring to themselves first and then to the rest of the world. I made shirts for the team members with the I Am Experience logo embroidered on them.
I have been looking for a while for embroidery digitizing software that doesn’t take an IQ of 170 to use and require a loan to buy. I believe my search may be over. The shirts were not perfect and I believe with a little more practice I will be able to fix some of the issues I had. I found the software Sew Art. Sew Art is an embroidery digitizer for converting raster image files, vector images, and clipart into embroidery file formats. Image processing tools and a step-by-step wizard are provided to produce an image suitable for yielding a high-quality embroidery stitch-out.
Bizzy Lady and I are loving the summer we are having. We just got back from Bahamas and it was amazing. I love that place. Bizzy Lady and I have already decided we are staying for 10 days next year instead of 6.
During this trip we learned so much more about the Bahamas. There are over 100 islands that are beautiful and we need to venture out more to visit those locations.
We will be back to sewing, we promise and have more quilting tips, quilts, bags and demos to show you all.
Below are a few pictures of what we saw:
It has been awhile since Bizzy Lady or Myself have posted. Sorry for that but the Summer is the time when Bizzy Lady and I are involved in a lot of activities. We love being outdoors in the sun and nice weather.
I cant believe that next Monday, July 10th will be my 38th Birthday. I’m getting closer to 40 but still look like I’m 20, which is a good thing. (Thanks mom and dad for good genes. lol)
My mother has been loving the purse that Bizzy Lady and I make and she has really gotten into the Cork Fabric. So for her birthday in June, she requested that I make her a purse. So I went through several purse patterns and she picked the design she wanted, Sew Sweetness Park West Bag. When then went online to Fabrick Funhouse Cork Company to find what color Cork she wanted for the purse.
So it was a few days late, but she was very happy with her birthday gift. I was very pleased with how it turned out as well. It really looks like it came from a department store.
It’s been a little while since I have written a post. I hope everyone is doing good. I have been making lots of bags, totes, wallets and finally got one quilt in which was a table runner.
Bizzy Lady and I was just talking this morning, that we have lost our creative mojo a little bit and we need to get it back to being creative. For me a have so many projects that I want to work on some that I have cut out already but just don’t know which one to work on or just motivate myself to sew period.
This is the table runner I made for a customer and she also sent a picture of her using it on her dinning room table.
